(2-minute read) – There are only two options for your mind – addiction or silence.
Addiction is the state of being in thought. The mind’s natural tendency is to be in this state because it is attached to the brain – a brilliant, energetic conglomeration of nervous, chemical activity. It is busy and active by nature.
The mind becomes attached to this activity and needs it to feel alive and well. It is truly addicted to the brain.
Silence is passivity of the brain
Silence is the state of passivity of the brain, or the state of transcending the brain. None of the noise and none of the energy is on.
The only way to silence is to practice the art of letting go, which is the mind’s path to detachment from the activity of the brain.
Meditation is the whiff of silence. And it only takes the slightest whiff to know that it is the true origin of our souls and the home to which we are beckoned at our deepest level – a level that predates the nerves and the chemicals.
So break free from the delusion of the brain and let go of its addictive hold over you. Experience silence. Experience nothingness and set your mind free.
